Hi, I’m Johanna Salazar and I have the privilege of doing what I love alongside some of the most talented people on the planet.

Someone recently called me “The Most Powerful Woman in Media.” Not because of titles alone, but because of my footprint: the ability to build, fund, and scale ideas and launch startups that move culture, equity, and business forward. In a complex, male-dominated industry, that kind of influence matters, and I don’t take it lightly.

In 2024, I helped lead the U.S. operation under IMG for MLS Season Pass on AppleTV, reimagining how soccer is experienced across the U.S.

I’m the Co-Founder of FoodStream Network, a food-tech platform transforming how surplus food reaches people in need by connecting organizations through logistics, education, and innovation. My focus is using media and technology to solve real-world problems through scalable, sustainable solutions.

I’m also the host of The Media Machine, a podcast exploring how media, innovation, and purpose intersect across process, profits, people, and planet.

With over 22 years in media and entertainment, I’ve led multimillion-dollar productions, launched platforms, and integrated emerging technologies into storytelling. I bring a growth mindset and an execution-focused approach to everything I do.

I have an MBA from Florida International University, completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and IESE Business School. I also have a Major in Journalism with a minor in international studies from St. John's University. I am a transformational leader, a social impact innovator, and a lifelong learner.
